Hey everybody! I’m trying to both lower my food budget and also make what we eat healthier. We have two adults and a 4 year old, and right now we could easily spend 300/week especially with the increased grocery costs.
I’d like to lower the food budget to around $150-180/week. The issue is that my family hates the idea of eating the same dinner weekly, they want a different dinner every day of the week. Also don’t like mushrooms or fish, but we have been successful at making many of our meals vegetarian.
With a budget like that, what would you make for dinner? What about breakfast and lunch? Also trying to keep our fibre intake up.
Most of our dinners currently are a protein, a carb like parboiled rice, and maybe broccoli or carrots.
