Calorie counting

I’ve always had a hard time losing weight and I’ve only ever been successful when calorie counting. However, now I have more flexibility in work schedule so I really want to join a gym and do things differently this time so I can hopefully lose and maintain rather than lose and then regain . I probably the heaviest I’ve ever been and I’m just not happy. My biggest problem is that I am a snacker and a craver. I started calorie counting again today and I wanted to know if any of you do calorie counting as well or any healthy low-cal store bought snacks you guys would recommend. Any tips or recommendations welcomed :)
