Dried beans in dip ?

Going to make dried black beans tomorrow for the first time to make cheap bulk bean dip. I can’t seem to find any recipes that don’t use canned beans sadly. I have a couple questions about it I’m not sure how to word very well

Can I cook the beans, not pour off the broth, and just keep cooking until it evaporates so I don’t waste the broth and seasoning? Or will the beans get a gross or not smooth texture?

Is bean dip supposed to be made from overcooked mushy beans or normally cooked beans just mashed? Will there be a difference?

Sorry for all the questions, messed up the last couple meals I tried so I’m just nervous to cook new things now
