Have I ruined my heart to a point where eating healthy won’t reverse the impact? I realise this sounds dramatic but here me out.

I’ve recently started getting some chest pain after I eat really salty foods e.g. processed packet noodles .

I’m diabetic and generally watch my weight and have good control over my glucose levels.

But tonight’s it’s hit me that I very well could have something like a stroke if I continue eating such high sodium/salt foods. I’m just wondering if it’s possible for me to reverse these problems if I start now – eating a hell of a lot cleaner and cutting out diet soda .

Edit: not looking for actual medical advice, just wondering if it sounds feasible to reverse any damage. I realise this is Reddit and won’t take anything anyone says as gospel.
